Destination Rotorua
Situated in the heart of the Central North Island, Rotorua is located 1 hour away from one of the best beaches in the South Pacific - Mt Maunganui and only two hours away from New Zealand's Largest Skiing Area - Mt Ruapehu.
But that's not important anyway as once you see what Rotorua has to offer, you won't want to leave anyway!

For those who are interested in Adventure the options are endless:
Skydiving	Tandem Skydiving from 9000 or 12,000 ft.
Bungee Jumping	Adrenaline Pumping Jump from a purpose built 43-metre Bungy Tower.
Zorbing	Roll downhill inside a huge ball with the options of Wet or Dry Zorbing.
Jet Boating	Agrojet - a 450 horsepower jet-propelled raceboat that delivers you to 100kph in 4.5 seconds.
Kawarau Jet	Jet Boat action on Lake Rotorua, either enjoy a thrilling ride with plenty of 360 degree spins or take part in their excursion to the Native Bird sanctuary located on Mokoia Island in the centre of Lake Rotorua.
The Swoop	1,2 or 3 people at a time are placed in hang-gliding harnesses 40 metre high, pull a rip-cord and swing with speeds of 130kmphr and a G-force of 3!.
Extreme Freefall	The Southern Hemispheres only freefall skydive simulator.
Off Road NZ	Take part in a 4 x 4 Safari, that you drive, or compete against your colleagues on the Sprit Car Track.
Helicopter Flights	Take in some of New Zealands best scenery - Lake and Mount Tarawera, or the Geothermal wonders of Wai-o-tapu by air. Or for the ultimate how about a flight to an active volcano at White Island.
Red Cat	Take a step back in time. Don our leathers and goggles, tuck in the silk scarf and climb aboard for an experience to enjoy, flying as they did in the early days, aboard the Red Cat biplane.
White Water Rafting	Why not take on the largest commercially rafted waterfall in the Southern Hemisphere. At 21ft or 7 metres its an experience that you won't forget in a hurry.
White Water Sledging	Or for the ultimate in a rush, how about taking on the same waterfall, however this time without the Raft.
Skyline Skyrides	Enjoy spectacular views of Rotorua City and the surrounding lakes take a spectacular journey 3/4 of the way up Mt. Ngongotaha by gondola. Offering various activities once you get there - Try the Luge, a fun ride for all ages. Proudly designed and built in Rotorua, the luge is a fun filled gravity ride on a 3-wheel cart. Or The Sky Swing, a thrilling and exhilarating ride, 50 metres above ground, reaching speeds of up to 120kph.
Horse Riding	Take in some of Rotorua's spectacular scenery from various treks around the city.
Indoor Climbing	Try your hand at rock climbing at the indoor climbing wall. Not as easy as it looks and a great all weather activity.
Kayaking	Rotorua is surrounded by 13 lakes, hence giving a wonderful selection of venues for kayaking.
Pontoons	Take a pontoon out on the lake and enjoy a fun day out. It is a good idea to take a picnic hamper with you. A wonderful fine day experience.

Maori Arts and Crafts Institute	Take in the awesome Pohutu Geyser, Mud Pools and nocturnal Kiwi House.
Wai-o-tapu	Visit this outstanding visitor attraction and take in the spectacular visions of the Artist Palette Pools and other natural phenomenon. At 10.15am each day the Lady Knox Geyser erupts in to life.
Wai-mangu	The home to the Pink and White Terraces, once considered the 8th wonder of the world. Now covered by the fall out of the Eruption of Mt Tarawera in 1886. A spectacular areas to witness the power of Mother Earth's fury.
Hells Gate	Another geothermal site where you can take in the uniqueness of the area. They also offer a range of Body Treatments including Mud Baths!
Polynesian Spa	Take your swimmers and enjoy the relaxing mineral waters at the Polynesian Spa. You will not believe how good you feel when you leave. They also offer a range of Beauty Treatments.
Still not convinced? How about something Historic!
Rotorua Museum	Housed in the Elizabethan styled Bath House, the building is an intricate part of Rotorua's History and a great home for our Museum. Learn all about the history of the area, which can then heighten your experiences around the city.
Rotorua Blue Baths	The original swimming baths of the area, which was lovingly restored in the 90's to its original Art Deco glory and know houses a wonderful 1920's Café. Take your togs as well as they have also reopened several of the mineral pools in the complex.
Buried Village	Continuing on the theme from the Mt Tarawera Eruption in 1886, why not visit the original village which has covered at the time of the Eruption. The village has be preserved over the years and is know set in a spectacular park like setting with local fauna and floral.

Private Cruises on Lake Tarawera	Charter a boat and enjoy a day of taking in the sights of Lake Tarawera. Enjoy lunch on board and try your hand at Trout Fishing or make a stop at the unique Hot Water Beach where on the shores of the Lake you can dig your own Hot Water Pool.
Jet Boat to Private Hot Pools	Take a fun filled trip across Lake Rotorua, through the Ohau Channel and across Lake Rotoiti to the isolated hot pools on the shores of the Lake. Wonderful facilities are available at the Pools.
