ChemSpider

ChemSpider is a free online service providing access to around 21.5 million unique chemical entities sourced from over 200 different data sources and integrated with a multitude of other online services. ChemSpider is the world's richest single source of structure-based chemistry information.

ChemSpider offers searching by keywords (for example: systematic name, synonym, trade name, CAS Registry Number, etc.) and chemical structures.

ChemSpider has been acquired by the Royal Society of Chemistry to enable continued expansion and improvement of this free service. (For more details, see the full press release.)

SciFinder Scholar on the Web

SciFinder Scholar

The Library is pleased to announce that one of the world's premier science databases is now available in a new web-based version. This means that SciFinder is now also available to off-campus users (unlike the desktop version). The web version offers a new, redesigned interface, improved saving (including Keep-Me-Posted alerts), plus more.

 

Access:
SciFinder Scholar requires you to register the first time you use it. (You must provide a valid Massey email: …@massey.ac.nz.) Thereafter you sign in each time you go to the SciFinder Scholar login page. There are a limited number of logins, so it is important to click Sign Out when you have finished to free up sessions for others. If you cannot get in, try again later.

CAB Reviews: Perspectives in Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Nutrition and Natural Resources

The Library is pleased to announce the availability of this major new reviews publication, complementing the subject coverage of CAB. It focuses on animal science, veterinary medicine; applied plant sciences; agriculture; nutrition and food science; natural resources and environmental sciences. Earlier reviews from a wide range of CAB publications are available in the Archive, covering from around the turn of the 20th century onwards.
