EEBO

We're pleased to announce that Early English Books Online (EEBO) is now available at Massey Library. It was launched at a function hosted by the College of Humanities & Social Sciences.

This is a very significant online database recently purchased by the Library. It contains texts from the fifteenth to the eighteenth centuries, in subject areas including English literature, history, philosophy, linguistics, theology, music, fine arts, education, mathematics, and science.

EEBO contains digital facsimile page images of virtually every work printed in England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and British North America and works in English printed elsewhere from 1473-1700 - from the first book printed in English by William Caxton, through the age of Spenser and Shakespeare and the tumult of the English Civil War.

EEBO is available on the Library's Article Databases page.
