The Library is delighted to announce that EndNote X3 is now available for purchase. Instructions for obtaining X3 are on the ITS EndNote page.

EndNote X3 offers the same range of features as X2, but with extended capabilities in many aspects - including significantly enhanced off-campus and wireless full-text access.

Those with EndNote versions older than X2 should upgrade to X3, making sure to uninstall the old version before installing the new one. X2 users may wish to consider upgrading to gain its improved full-text downloading capabilities. (Alternatively, X2 users can download and run the Massey Profile Installer to get the latest Massey configuration, including the new APA 6th style.)

EndNote X3 will available on Information Commons and Lab machines in due course.

Help and Assistance

• The Library provides a Quick Start Guide and a more comprehensive Introductory EndNote handout. It also has a dynamic Quick Start Guide. (Note: these may be for X2 but the instructions should be similar for X3. )
• Massey University Library also regularly runs Introductory EndNote Tutorials.
• There are also tips for configuring Mac machines to the Massey standard
• Endnote installs with a Getting Started Guide that provides introductory instructions, as well as the full detailed EndNote X3 Manual. These are located in the EndNote program folder.
• The EndNote website also provides a basic dynamic online tutorial.
